That'd make a whole lotta work for future archiving and sorting, is my first reaction.

What? Adding three threads?
eta...
I'm sorry. I was unclear. I meant trying a version of what bon bon is suggesting (drama, comedy, whatever she suggested over the weekend) from now until the end of May, and then shutting them down, and deciding if we think they work. I didn't mean adding a thread for every show people watch.
I think test threads is perfect. Though over the summer is probably not the time to do it, with nearly everything in hiatus. But I see nothing inherently horrible in saying, "Well, that was a good idea but it just didn't pan out. Next idea?"
Well that's why I said to do it from now until the end of May. A good number of shows are ramping up for sweeps. There should be enough topic generating stuff to see what makes us talk, and what doesn't.
If there's another sweeps coming (again??) sure, let's roll out the tests. Move from words to actions, see how it flies.
Looking at bon bon's list, I'd recommend a thread for procedurals. The Unit, Without a Trace, CSI, The Shield, Homicide even, maybe 24, could all fit in there.
Heh. Okay, the "there are people in a thread I don't know" excuse is a piss poor reason for not going in a thread, I'll admit.
Also, I didn't mean to put that forward as a reason for or against any of the possible thread proposals we're hashing out here. Or if I did, that was pretty stupid, and I withdraw it.
I don't know, I've used the "people I don't know!" excuse lots of times in real life to get out of stuff.
(Sean, while I was reading that earlier post, it is wrong that I was sorta picturing you covered in green fur, living in a metal trash can?)
(Cindy, um, no. It's not wrong at all. That's exactly the mental image of me you should have had.)
