Mal: Yeah, well, just be careful. We cheated Badger out of good money to buy that frippery, and you're supposed to make me look respectable. Kaylee: Yes, sir, Captain Tightpants.

Oh, no. That *was* my concern, Cindy.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

vw honey, I don't think so. We've been through those wars before, and I think we know where the land mines are this time. We've also been exceptionally polite to each other, backed off and let the other person say their piece, and agreed to disagree. I think it's going to be fine, as long as we remember to play nice.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I agree with Beverly. Disagreement is not the end of a relationship. In this case, I see people stating their case while really listening to each other and giving each other room. It's an admirable thing.

I will say that the more live and let live types among us are not going to be able to talk the need-resolution types into dropping this. But as long as things are handled without ferocity and a need to punish, merely a fact-finding mission, I think most of the accepting folks can live with that. I can, anyway. I hope Trudy and anybody else who'd rather we not uncover anything unpleasant will be able to accept it, too.

Ok.

Just to clarify, I wasn't feeling all kerfuffly and stuff. I'm just scared. People that I care about are on both sides of this fence, and I don't want the community to lose any of them.

That's all. So, thank you for calming that.

I am glad to hear you say that Beverly. My experience with the preferential voting discussion was life-altering-- or at least board altering for me, so conflict-avoidant me can blow things out of proportion.

Our wings are not tired.

I think we are all ok here, vw. We may have a variety of opinion on this, but I don't see anyone suggesting another's feelings are wrong.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I really don't care about that. I care about upsetting his family if they find this. Their potential hurt is so much more serious and important than our potential hurt. And could have been prevented by discretion.

I thought discretion was why we were limiting this discussion to Bureaucracy? It's not a place where non-boardmembers would think to look.
