You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I'm on it.

And, it's up.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Hey, all. While we're bored captive here on the last day before a long weekend, I thought I'd bring up a couple ideas I want to hash out about all the static supplementary documents we've talked about revising. Msbelle was the committee chair, but due to MOMHOOD she had to resign. I'm willing to take up the cause, and Jesse, Perkins, Sophia and I have talked over some of the above.

The issue: With a FAQ, Mythology FAQ, Hwo-To, Etiquette Guide, Etiquette Guide in Verse, and the (nowhere publicized) Law Document, we have a lot of redundancy and outdated information on the site. It's not easy to find information, or conversely, you may find it twice. Also, you may ask, "What are you going on about, with the varying colors of leather pants?"

(As examples: Special fonts when posting are covered in FAQ and How-to, but could stand to be in just the How-to. The entire Mythology FAQ, which is strictly Buffytarian, may want to be put on the Archive page. I don't think anybody says "NATLBSB" any more.)

proposed solution: 1) Re-juvenate the Committee to Be All Up In Everybody's Business.

2) This volunteery committee will revise the docs noted above for recency, maybe suggest retiring (to archive, not deleting) some things, and

3) bring it all to the board for some discussion ("Hey, you left out AIFG!") a straight up-or-down vote on each doc. Someday.

4) Then somebody with magical skills will implement the HTMLification and officialitariness of the stuff done in steps 1-3.

I guess this question is multifold: Are the previous Committee members still interested in being all up in people's business? Would anybody else like to join the up-in-business train? Are there any sacred cows I can profane, or is everybody okay with a general streamlining, simplifying, clarifying, and awesomeifying of our static self-descriptive data?

And, can I invent any other new words in a single post?

Kprinkleriffic!

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Oh, goody! I will send email to volunteers (plus any further who care to) bringing them up to speed to what the Mamabelle-led Committee had done up to the point of mamahood.

(Answer: we'd revised the FAQ but not much else.)
