Well we put lots of things in thread titles that aren't necessarily representative of the way everyone feels, and we do generally have watch-and-posts for elections that tend to skew pretty Democratic...but that said, I do hear where you're coming from. I would hate to alienate someone on the board over politics.

I think there's "not representative" (WHAT?!? Not everyone loves Journey?!?) and then there's exclusive. I am confident that not everyone on this board is happy about the Senate takeover. I am sure that some of those people just don't post in Natter, especially around election time.

I agree that list is probably the best choice. Politics can be even more divisive and hurt-feeling-causing than Journey.

ETA-I was never for a politics thread. It only shows one facet of multi-faceted awesome buffistas. And it's not always my best facet.
And also, for people who had a mostly good 2006, the LIST can be, you know, a good list. In their minds.
