I don't think Allyson had committed to a thread title. Though she liked the one I came up with earlier. Since she's offline at the moment, here are my suggestions.

TITLE: Premium Cable: The Cursing Costs Extra

SLUG: Discussions of HBO and Showtime original programming. Deadwood, Entourage, Big Love, Brotherhood, Weeds, Dexter, etc.

DESCRIPTION: A topic for the discussion of all HBO and Showtime original programming. Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I copied this from Boxed Set, which doesn't seem to be NAFDA. This probably shouldn't be either.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

The proposal specifically said that the thread would be NAFDA.

Premium Cable: The Cursing Costs Extra

Love this. Love.

I copied this from Boxed Set, which doesn't seem to be NAFDA.

It's got this in the header, which pretty much makes it NAFDA by default:

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

However, Boxed Set... DOESN'T have the NAFDA linky to the definition. Should it (and the new Premium Cable one as well)?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, why isn't Boxed Set NAFDA? From the FAQ:

Q. NAFDA? Is that an international Buffista treaty?

A. Ummm..... No. It's the North American Free Discussion Area. We have many posters who aren't from North America and are therefore half a season or more behind. In order to keep them unspoiled, we limit discussion of current episodes to specific threads. These are the NAFDA threads. If it's not labeled as a NAFDA thread, don't talk about current episodes in it. We also ask that you don't discuss one show's current season in another show's topic without whitefont, because some people are on tape delay. This means that events from the current season of Buffy should be whitefonted in the Angel topic and vice versa.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

It's not NAFDA because a number of shows that are discussed there (Dr. Who, for example) actually air elsewhere first. It's sort of a reverse NAFDA situation. People want to discuss the shows, and they can do so using white font.

Thread's open.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So it's still a deal where US airing means blackfont is go, right? It seems more like NAFDA than not.

Really, I think the whole NAFDA thing is somewhat meaningless anymore, and each thread has its own deal, which is fine.

Art Crawl!!!

Boxed set is more NAFDA then not: i.e., if it's aired on the East Coast you can post in black font. If not, then no.

Hey. New board.

Dosn't NAFDA imply that you can discuss OTHER aired shows in blackfont, not just the ones designed for the thread? Maybe not, since Veronica Mars is NAFDA, but I always assumed that because, for example, Bitches is NAFDA. I guess that made more sense when the thread was more Buffy-centric - Buffy discussion (and Spike-fawning, I guess? Those days are so alien to me) could happen there, was that the idea?

I think I just answered my own confusion. Carry on.

The proposal specifically said that the thread would be NAFDA.

Sorry, I forgot that part of the proposal.

ETA: I, too, thought NAFDA meant that you could talk about any show in blackfont once it aired. But acronyms confuse me.
