I'm not at all annoyed by it myself, just noting it.

if we're annoying people with the thread drift, as we apparently are.
Though it seems to be a very minor annoyance, at a glance.

Speaking only for me, this is an accurate assessment.
Here's what I think the question is regarding Deadwood, at least: Do the people who want to talk about it want to talk about it more than they are currently talking about it? (Say that three times fast!)
Say that three times fast!
The dizzying sentence structure is worthy of the fine show in question!
I'm not really inclined to talk about the show more than at present. I might post a few more external links to interesting articles and comments, but I'm more of a reactive poster.
While not opposed to, and ostensibly supporting of, a new HBO/Showtime thread -- if the volume of Deadwood posts in Movies stays in the general vicinity of the current level, the new thread is probably not warranted, at least as far as I'm concerned.
Sean said that much better than I could. Perhaps he's figured out that reading my mind is for remedial learners, at best.

Ditto, although I might chime in a bit more as I delve into the first two seasons. Mostly it's just fun to have someplace to go "hey, did you see..." when the new eps air without hundreds of posts in between. I certainly don't see it ever becoming a watch&post show, for instance (not that I can do that anyway, what with my computer about as far away from my TV as it can be without it being not in my apartment).
You know, what with our respective locations, if Sean, Corwood and myself are joined by someone in, say Chicago, for this collective mind thingee, I think it completes a circuit and triggers an apocalypse (small a).
Or at least fuckin' scares the hooples.
