Bureaucracy 3: Oh, so now you want to be part of the SOLUTION?
A thread to discuss naming threads, board policy, new thread suggestions, and anything else that has to do with board administration and maintenance. Guaranteed to include lively debate and polls. Natter discouraged, but not deleted.
Current Stompy Feet: ita, Jon B, DXMachina, P.M. Marcontell, Liese S., amych
That was just the last time it came up, not the first. If you want to bring it up, it will be treated with as much interest as it can garner--but the arguments didn't change much any of the iterations of the discussion, as a warning.
If you're gonna dance on a dead topic, we insist it be the cha cha in stiletto heels.
I think there's a moratorium on re-proposing after a vote. I can't remember for how long.
Since it has been more than 3 months since we last brought it up, it is a valid topic for proposal, however.
I don't feel a burning need to bring it up. I personally would like one, but that's more because I'd be interesting in seeing what everyone is watching, rather than due to the spillover into other threads.
If anyone has a comment, feel free to chime in.

As one of the architects of the spillover of HBO into movies, I am firmly in favor of such an entity should our bloviation be offensive and/or annoying to moviegoers.
I'd love to have a discussion about something since it's been so long, but like ita says, it's a fairly beaten horse.
I thought the moratorium was 6 months. Not that it makes a difference in this case.
My feeling has been that a general TV thread would be nearly as difficult to navigate through as Natter. If there's a particular show that seems to be generating a lot of interest/posts, then propose a new thread for that show.

Poor horsie.
I was against the idea before, but I'm now leaning more towards it, especially if it were like boxed set (i.e. no whitefont required once it starts airing on the East Coast although I'd miss the surreal chunks of whitefont in natter if the convo definitively migrated to a GenTV thread).
