As far as tradition goes, SB 14 was "This thread is not yet rated," which I don't think is a Spike quote. But if we want to keep on keeping on, then I prefer the manly show quote. Otherwise, I kind of have a bias towards being tasty.
'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'
Bureaucracy 3: Oh, so now you want to be part of the SOLUTION?
A thread to discuss naming threads, board policy, new thread suggestions, and anything else that has to do with board administration and maintenance. Guaranteed to include lively debate and polls. Natter discouraged, but not deleted.
Current Stompy Feet: ita, Jon B, DXMachina, P.M. Marcontell, Liese S., amych
I like #1, then #2. Just to be ornery.
A stompy had to close the thread, right? Or is there some automatic thread-closing thingy?
Or is there some automatic thread-closing thingy?
Automatic at 10K.
Just to be ornery.
Woohoo! Orneriness! 'cept I'm ornery with respect to the Spike quotes as well.
The thread-closing is automatic, but only a Stompy can open a new one.
I want Tasty.
I vote for giving the stompies a little time here. For most of them, it's a work day, and many others are on their way to the F2F.
Let's invade Natter!

I agree. Let's be nice.
Let's invade Natter!
Natter, ho!
P-C, that was because we couldn't decide on a title, so a nameless (Plei) stompy did it for us. And we were too busy posting to think of something else. Whatever it's named, no one's going to get cranky and take their toys and go home. I like the tribute to the Empress, it's funny, but I really like the tradition of naming it for Spike. It makes me feel part of something that came before I got here and will go on (maybe) after I go (god forbid).
I'm obviously overly enamoured of parentheses today. I should do some actual work. It's staring at me and everything.
Oh, thanks for clarifying, Deena. No, I totally get the tradition thing.
And here is where I'd post a Lorrie Moore quote about ceremony and tradition, but I'm not at my computer, so remind me to do it later.
remind P-C of quotage promise
Okay, it's on my list.
