What is even happening?

Spikes Bitches 30: Every day I think I'm sobering up is a fresh bout of torture

is probably too long, isn't it

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I think Torture was disliked last time because of the political climate, etc. making light of the thing. I could nilly it, but I'm lazy.

brillig

I'm for the torture one. It never seems to lose its personal relevancy.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Spike's Bitches of a Certain Age

Huh. I thought a woman of a certain age was over 40, not 30.

I'm anti-torture these days. I just, um, the word seems very real to me. Then again, not getting to drop by Spikes Bitches much so I'm happy to let others name the thread whatever they see fit.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Very strongly both for and against "torture," for the reasons everyone else has said.

"Going on 13" has a certain appeal.

I'm with Burrell on "of a certain age." Great title for SB40, though.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'm with Burrell on "of a certain age." Great title for SB40, though.

Works for me. I'm still not wild about going on 13, but I can live with it.

What is even happening?

It looks like lots of people like the sobering up one, and it seems less fraught with controversy, so I'll switch to:

Spike's Bitches 30: I think I'm sobering up

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I like 30 going on 13 because it implies that we're twelve. I don't remember it as a quote, though.

Compassionately intolerant

I like 13, because frankly, that's how old I feel sometimes.

I was so much older then...I'm younger than that now...

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I love 30 going on 13
