Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Curse your stupid glee!

I made the same mistake on both of these. And I know what thought process led to the mistakes, but it's not worth the trouble to explain....

What is even happening?

Tommyrot, have you checked out the quick edit codes (there's a link right above the box where you make your post. They're really easy and are fairly undroppable (not that I don't enjoy tag drops), because they end when you hit the return key (or enter, or whatever this newfangled doohickey is called).

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I use the quick-edit code '>' to quote someone, and html for everything else. I ran into the problem when I wanted to quote someone and italicize it too--I used the quick edit for the quote and <i> for italics. I found if I wanted to do two separate lines of this, I had to have an italics tag for each line, otherwise only the first one was italicized. So I ended up with two open italics tags, and I only closed the last one.

I don't know why I use html for everything else--maybe that way I'm more confident what will happen.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Quick-edit (except for quoting) slows me down, because I have to think about it. HTML is more keystrokes, but it's still faster.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Isn't Minearverse 8689 slightly spoily for current Angel?

Art Crawl!!!

Minearverse is Nafda, right? Although those deaths happened more than two weeks ago, right?

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

What makes it even better is that it was said about the Empress by Polter-Cow.

I adore it. Enthusiastic vote in favor.

In order to put in historical context, I COMMed the relevant discussion.
