I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I propose we close LoTR.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Seconded, but I'll be paying attention to see if the people who actually post there care enough to keep it. (By which I mean, I'll second anything, but am still sensitive about making decisions about Other People's Threads.)

Art Crawl!!!

Well, I'm okay with it -- the LotR talk is light enough that it can fit into Movies or Natter without difficulty.

I guess I second it too.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I was thinking there was going to be one more DVD release with new material, and that closing should wait until a couple months after that.

But when is it due? Am I hallucinating its very existence?

Speaking of threads and closing -- did the revival of Book Club work?

Art Crawl!!!

I think you're right, but it may not be 'til next year.

Art Crawl!!!

Couldn't find anything about the extra-special super ee of LOTR, but look at this cool 3-d puzzle of the Citadel of Minas Tirith!

And the complete soundtrack recording of FotR is coming out on Tuesday.

information libertarian

I would second the closing of LOTR.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I haven't been in that thread in ages, so I'm fine w/ closing it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I found this post Kathy A "LotR - The Return of the King: "We named the *dog* 'Strider'"." Jan 14, 2005 1:26:56 pm PST which talks about potential ultimate DVD sets. If there's no calendar for new activity, I vote close, but don't archive, so it can be reopened if there's anything that's going to provoke a flurry.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Works for me - are we still looking for seconds, though? Count me, to get the discussion started anyway.
