You know, I just... I woke up, and I looked in the mirror, and I thought, hey, what's with all the sin? I need to change. I'm... I'm dirty. I'm, I'm bad with the... sex and the envy and that, that loud music us kids listen to nowadays.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Who admins that group, meara?

I'd love to see you assimilated.

Also -- where has the FAQ rewrite (et al.) reached? Can we put in it that my name is lower-cased?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

still working on the FAQ and other rewrites. I am pretty sure that we do have that your name is lowercased.

Up with the sun

Who admins that group, meara?

meara and I do, but I think we've discussed being assimilated and are fine with it -- it just hasn't happened yet.

Okay -- I've created DCistas and made LJ and meara admins with their profile addresses. I've set it so only members can see the list of members, and that's the only change I've made from the default.

Subscribe. Maintain.

LJ, meara, if it doesn't send you the admin password, holler and I'll fling it your way. I think it does, though.

Trust my rage

I really hope I'm not about to start a kerfuffle, but...

I'm really uncomfortable with post 4102 over in the Firefly thread (sorry, can't remember how to make that thread link at the moment). I would not want other board members digging up personal information about me and posting it here. It seems really intrusive. I realize that a) Tim is sort of a public figure and b) it's public information anyway, but it just feels wrong to me.

eta: I think Consuela already made this point in thread. I guess I was trying to figure out if I was being too sensitive, but maybe that's just my own issue.

Visilurking

I think it's a valid issue, and I feel uncomfortable about it too. Don't think it rises to the level of stompie edit, but it just seems wrong.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

If someone posted MY political contributions here without my consent, I'd be plenty annoyed. I think it does deserve a stomping, if Jack doesn't volunteer to edit.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Our procedures state that disagreements should first try to be resolved in-thread.

Just to clarify -- I absolutely think it was rude. But since it's publicly available information, I don't think we should stomp it. Have we ever stomped any post that wasn't spam or a spoiler?

I'm having Google/CNET deja vu.
