The status is NOT quo.

Love the idea too.

Also, could a stompy make the shortcut links in my COMM post work, please? (edit: thanks, ita)

I'm barely on the board right now, but I snorted reaqlly loudly when I read Cindy's summary and had to preserve it.

Hmmm. Preservation. Maybe we should just add one or two words to the current header:

A community dedicated to discussions of the preservation of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Firefly with humor, intelligence and obsessiveness. Read our FAQ, then join the fun.

Underlined is the new part.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Do we discuss preservation, though?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I still say it should be something that says we came together around Buffy, Angel, etc., but that doesn't imply that's still our main purpose. If it needs to say anything at all.

I thought about that. I originally put "the preservation of" before discussions of. I dunno, I just came to this board for Buffy and Angel and don't want to lose that. Not that change isn't evil, but it may just have to at some point in time.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

How about:

We first came together to discuss Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and branched out into the rest of the Whedonverse as it developed. We quickly discovered we had more in common than just an obsessive love for a group of TV shows, and began to discuss, well, pretty much everything. Obsessively. With good grammar, good humor, and good will. That's where we are today.

Me, I'd just slip "originally" in at the start of the existing blurb. The list of threads below pretty much indicates we don't do just that anymore.

I like that Steph. Like it a lot.

What is even happening?

This.

or "built upon" in place of "dedicated"

Our wings are not tired.

I agree with the idea, except originally we didn't discuss Firefly.

and change is Evil
