Marco: Do we look reasonable to you? Mal: Well. Looks can be deceiving. Jayne: Not as deceiving as a low down dirty... deceiver.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Please, no mega documents

Now see, I was going to do this whole complex of mutually-linked documents, and with Flash and Shockwave and -- okay, not.

Point taken on the brevity-needs. (Although I don't want to lose linky citations, because they are nice ot short-circuit an argument along the lines of "What doofus decided that?") The All Up In Everybody's Business Committee will mark down "Hemingwayesque language" in its goals statement.

Up with the sun

I think that ideally, the All Up in Everybody's Business Committee should generate two documents -- Etiquette, which could be long and colorful and fun to read, and Rules, which would be "don't do this, or we smoosh you like bug." Or possibly the names could be vice-versa'ed.

And there should be an FAQ, somewhere.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I prefer the idea of a brief-as-possible combined Etiquette/Rules. We can still link to the long filked etiquette for the fun stuff.

Our wings are not tired.

This discussion is reminding me of the "Rules Girls" and reading their crazy posts. Sorry.

I prefer brief.

I do not however prefer briefs.

Boxers are more my style.

Unless I'm wearing a kilt.

Guy #1: Man, there are so many hipsters around. I hate hipsters! Guy #2: You're at the wrong place. That's like going to Vegas only to say "I hate titties!" --The Warsaw, Williamsburg (OINY)

I kind of like reading the Z-- stuff too, it has a kind of drive-by accident quality to it that makes me want to rubberneck. I know it's wrong.

PS I'm still at work. Yes. Waiting for my proof from the printers so I can give them the order. [/natter]

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Let us email. Also possibly with Jesse, so as to create a Committee of Being All Up In Everybody's Business.

I think I used to be on this committee...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Jesse, are we still affiliates with Powell's? I ask because when I click on our affiliate link, the URL turns into just powells.com, and I wasn't sure if it was tracking.

Also, are there requirements that we have to satisfy or anything for the ones we did sign up for?

Jesse - Apr 16, 2005 8:23:36 am PDT #4477 of 10001
Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I've wondered the same thing about the Powell's link. As far as I know we are affiliated, but maybe I should double-check. All the Amazons are sending me emails like we're affiliated, for sure.
