Yeah, that's what I'd like to get back to. But if we can't agree on something as innocuous as thread titles, then there's something wrong with us. And I'm not ready to concede that we're too fucked up to treat this process with the lightness and play it deserves.
Be it resolved, thread naming is play, but it's not a competition. Bullshit consensus rules. Keep it light, no sour faces, no backbiting.
I think part of it is just the fact that we've done this 137 times just since the Phoenix opened. Maybe we should make the new people name the threads.

My diagnosis isn't quite as dire.
I used to think that the title I liked best should win every time, but it's much more fun not caring.
*I* propose the stompy on hand picks whatever of the suggestions they like the best, or something out of their own head.
Because if the wrong thread title (assuming the stompies don't go insane with this heady new power) breaks people -- then there's a problem.

Also, it's not that difficult to change a thread title. We did it for the music thread.
