Well yes. This is why we need little emoticon tone icons, since obviously there is no other way to know. Like this post, for example, is intended to be read as a kind of satirical irony. If I had a little drop down menu where I could select a picture to represent that, it would all be so clear.
Between my natter and my mock suggestions, one of the stompies is so going to smite me with an unfortunate name. I'm stopping now. Really.
