If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I think that's getting a little complicated on the spoiler stuff. Show and aired/not aired would be good enough for me.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Show and aired/not aired would be good enough for me.

Since BSG is one of the shows up for discussion, and it's aired overseas but not in the US, I think it's necessary to specify.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Ack. I forgot about the ghost thingie. Nevermind then.

Blargh.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

So Due South would be shut out of the thread?

I'd also say the magic realism aspect of the show can sort of slip it under the fantasy radar. Plus, Due South is the granddaddy of the thread. Most of us would agree that we'd want to keep it in the thread.

I'm not okay with at all

Hmmm. Brief white-fonting until the west coast people get the shows on air/until the morning after is another option. Or some other workable spoiler policy if enough people prefer it. We're still discussing the options, I think.

This makes me kind of uncomfortable, but I think we're being US-centric here ('cause the Canadians are getting yet another different schedule for SGA and SG-1). Anything aired on US = black font. Anything not yet aired on US (including the UK and Canadian aired) = white font.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I'm fine with that, Vonnie.

As I understand it, the desire for white fonted discussion is that some people Tivo shows and don't watch them right away, so blackfonted discussion will drive them out of the thread altogether.

Then ignore it.

[eta: that came out snippier than I meant it. Personally, I don't care what gets discussed in what color font, because I'm not spioler-averse, but for people who are, I do think there are valid reasons for being more specific than simply "show aired/not aired."]

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Sigh. Life was simpler before TiVo and downloads. Ahhh, the communal experience of watch-n-post! Good ole days in which we all sat around a campfire roasting chestnuts and listened to the same stories! Technology is our ruin!

t bashes self on the head with a frying pan

t hugs the TiVo

If we didn't have the wacky discrepant-per-country Sci-Fi channel scheduling, I'd be more than fine with something like 1 wk grace period until one catches up with the TiVo-d episode, but the way it stands now, two different types of white-fonting for aired and unaired episodes makes things way too confusing (and it's the way it is in the thread right now, and it's unruly as hell.)
