Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is it creating a problem the way it is?

It's becoming more unwieldy for me to keep from spoiling myself. If it keeps increasing in scope, it will be unusable for me.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

But what other shows do people talk about that could possibly fall under a general SF TV header?

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Yeah, this has been something of a problem. I've been DL'ing the shows from UK broadcast this season, and when you have WF for the aired episodes and the ones for unaired episodes of the same show going on simultaneously, I can see how it can be daunting for those who are unspoiled.

One thing we can do is to make it NAFDA for the shows we are discussing right now--blackfont for anything that's been aired after the west coasters get it, and ask everyone to refrain from commenting on unaired episodes. But that leaves problems with TiVo delay and may be unfair to overseas posters like Jars...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Andromeda, Mutant X, NCIS, Trek, 3 Musketeers, MI-5, just to skim back not even to the beginning of the year.

I know I'm part of the problem -- I'm not claiming any moral high ground here.

But if we change it to a general sci-fi TV thread, we need (in my rules-bound head) to agree on spoiler fonting rules. I'm much more anti-going-forward-with-vague-convention than I am anti-going-forward.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

If it is to become that, it's worthy of more discussion, if not an actual vote.

I think it already is that. Whether we decided it or not, it happened. Stargate and Battlestar Galactica are majors topics of discussion there. Moreso than the shows listed in the header. And for the simple and obvious being that they are still in production.

Our wings are not tired

Sounds to me like the problems we are having in the thread really don't have to do with the title or the slug. I'd like to see it reflect what we're actually talking about rather than the secret handshake deal that's going on now of "Well, it's not called this, and we don't list it, but this is where it belongs."

I too damn near got spoiled on some of the BSG whitefont, but that seems to me like it's more of a spoiler font issue than a thread slug issue. I'm not sure of the best way to deal with it.

Andromeda, Mutant X, NCIS, Trek, 3 Musketeers, MI-5,

Yeah, but are any of those generating a high volume of discussion? Or are they just momentary conversational detours?

Serial:

Although, if the issue is spoiler problems, volume doesn't really matter. And yes, it becomes a somewhat thornier problem.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Mmm. Enterprise has been cancelled, and any incidental talks about old Trek should be fair game without white-font. And there really hasn't been much in the way of discussion about Andromeda (which I understand is pretty sucky now), Mutant X, and 3 Musketeers, IIRC.

NCIS and MI-5 talks don't belong there (and I'm speaking as someone who's talked a lot about MI-5 on the thread) and should be moved to Natter, I think.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

MI-5 generated quite a bit of discussion while it was airing in the UK. The others are very detourish.

However, if we do come out of denial, we need to do so properly. As in, as suggested upthread, spoiler font policy.
