You know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I go get and beat you with until you understand who's in ruttin' command here.

Bureaucracy 3: Oh, so now you want to be part of the SOLUTION?

A thread to discuss naming threads, board policy, new thread suggestions, and anything else that has to do with board administration and maintenance. Guaranteed to include lively debate and polls. Natter discouraged, but not deleted.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Good point.

Addressed.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Buffy 73: The Show Ended Six Years Ago, But The Natter Never Stops

Oh, I am SO suggesting this for Natter 73.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

FWIW, I'm voting for "Lost: OMGWTF POLAR BEAR" as the thread title.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

FWIW, I'm voting for "Lost: OMGWTF POLAR BEAR" as the thread title.

I do like this better for the thread title.

Hmmm, do you think we should have a thread-naming thread, instead of having it in Bureau? Or just encourage people to do it in that thread?

Sometimes Bureau looks pretty active and you think an important discussion is going on, and it's just Natter titling.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I would shorten it to just "Lost: OMGWTF!", but either would get my vote, unless hobbits and hoyay might have a shot.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I like it! (With the Polar Bear.)

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I'd rather keep the naming in here. Bureau isn't normally all that active otherwise.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'll just reiterate my earlier statement that thread-naming was the original purpose of Bureaucracy.

Swouncing

I'm with Jon and Jessica (and probably other people whose name starts with a "J"). Administrating the threads is what Bureaucracy was created for, as far as I remember, and naming them is part of that administrating.

Plus, it seems to me that it will be counter-productive to have too many "how to run stuff" threads, with everybody wondering if a post is appropriate in this administrative thread or that other one (it already happens with BBaBB and here, not enough that it's a problem, IMHO, but I just thought I'd point it out).

What is even happening?

I think the naming fits here. People know where to look for it. The stompies know to check here, where they might not ever see a thread to which they're not subscribed.

I still like aurelia's suggestion for the Lost thread: Lost: Survive This!
