Juliana, I haven't made my hotel reservations yet. Plei suggested the Courtyard Marriott, which is closer to her, or Deb's hotel. I'd be happy with either. What do you think?
eta: so maybe the Marriott wins by default.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

There are quite a few reasonable hotels in Seattle - we went with this one just because we were doing a package, which came out insanely cheap (under $600 total, including both our airfare, the hotel and the rental car.)
Can I suggest Orbitz? The packages for two can very very cheap indeed.
Lee, the Courtyard Marriott is really close to the Comfort Suites. I thought for some reason that Deb's hotel was actually in the U District, but it's in the Seattle Center area, AKA Lower Queen Anne. (Not, however, Downtown--I used to live within spitting distance of the Comfort Suites. It's walking distance from Downtown, but not a short walk.)
There are a fair number of hotels in that general area. If you see something, let me know, and I'll let you know the scoop about it.
Yeah, but you've got zombie ferrets, so quitcher bitchin'.
Hey! They're not zombies. They're just, you know, old.
Unless.... hmmm ...
I'm not going to make it to Seattle even though I told y'all I hoped to. It's the best of all possible excuses, in the form of a RL friend's Halloween wedding (On the beach! With costumes! Whee!) -- but why can't there be two Halloweens this year?
I hate the bring this up, but it kinda sorta seems someone ought to, so here goes.
Do we need a (pTOOee!) official discussion about retiring/reserving the CP awards? As in, a vote, or something?
Oh, lordy, ugh. Back to real live F2F stuff, yes indeedy.
Agreeing with Lee and Trudy. And ita, too.
oh, look who's startin' trouble.
eta: re Deb and the vote, not JenP.
Hee! The Days Inn comes up on Hotels.com. We used to stay there whenever our high school took trips to Seattle.
FTR, I'm cool with anywhere in Queen Anne or downtown, as long as it's reasonably inexpensive. We're good at walking.
I'd say no, Deb. It's not like we had a stated policy on them to begin with. And also I want to go nowhere near a discussion of how we determine something is BigEnough.
