Anya: We should drop a piano on her. It always works for that creepy cartoon rabbit when he's running from that nice man with the speech impediment. Giles: Yes, or perhaps we could paint a convincing fake tunnel on the side of a mountain.

'Touched'

F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Just how personal are you willing to admit to, Hec?

And was there leather involved?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

You know, some people just see smut everywhere.

Bragging doesn't become you, y'know.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

And was there leather involved?

Probably feathers, too.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

And was there leather involved?

Probably feathers, too.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

t takes deep breath

I think it is time to retire the Class Protector awards.

While I think they were a wonderful idea to start with, as a way to say thank you to people who worked really hard to get and keep the board up and running, I also think that this original purpose has gotten somewhat lost, and that the awards have become less meaningful and enjoyable to the community as a whole. In fact, they seem to have become a point of contention and confusion for many people, and I think doing away with them would be good for the board.

The members of this community are an amazingly giving and caring group of people, who routinely go out of their way to make sure people know that they are loved and appreciated. Examples of this are everywhere, from Deena’s birthday lists and bath bombs to kilts to echidna skulls to blanket and tiara exchanges.

I love this aspect of the board, and I hope it never changes. I just don’t think the class protector awards are a good reflection of it any more.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I agree with Lee.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I also agree. Though, I would suggest that we take the discussion (if any) to Natter so that the Seattle folks can plan their F2F.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Thirding Lee's suggestion.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I agree we should stop giving them out as a matter of course.

I also think, however, that the time may come when someone does something staggering and then we could whip-em out once more... like a big scythe that's actually an axe but a nummy piece of continuity nontheless.
