I didn't vote for NO and I have to admit, the NO heat was a factor in mine; my neuro says it's one of the worst climates in America if you have MS.
Beyond that, other reasons, definitely, but for me, the weather was, in fact, a factor.

It's an excellent strategy to cope with losing a vote, and you might get to use it again later in the year.

The weather was actually pretty pleasant in the corresponding weekend of this past May. Not a guarantee, but it might not be hellish.

I can vouch for this. It was not an issue. Besides, you just pop into a cool old bar and start drinking from noon until 3 until it cools off.

Well, I'm a humidity hater, and I voted for KC, but only b/c KC was the cheapest (as am I). I wasn't voting *against* any of the other choices; I was voting *for* KC.
t edit Besides, I've been to NOLA in mid-August, so I can't imagine that May could be worse than that. And I coped on that trip by being inebriated the entire time, thus not feeling the heat. Or anything else.
