and is the Quarterage among your hotel options? It's where I used to stay in KC, and I always had a reasonably good experience there. It's in Westport. And it looks like now they've got wifi in the lobby. And there's happy hour!
Sorry for the delayed response!
Liese, the Quarterage was contacted but unfortunately it’s very much a boutique-type hotel. No suites, kitchens, or refrigerators. Also, Darla (I totally thought the Director of Sales being named Darla was a 'sign' from the PTB) was unwilling to budge on the 2 adult maximum occupancy per room.
They did have conference rooms but we would not be allowed to move any of the furniture and could only reserve it for certain blocks of time.
Oooh, I'm so glad to hear it Bev!
It's name is George, Deena. It will be termed, "too nice to use" and will eventually succumb to dryrot, preserved and unused in a drawer somewhere.
Or, not. But I may save it for "best."
My allergies got kicked off by this picture. My eyes are still a bit moist. Everyone just looks so happy and erika is beaming and just gorgeous!
Wah!!! I can't see the 'lergy picture.
ND's link didn't work for me with a regular click, but what DID work was copying the link target and pasting that address into a new browser window.
C & P worked like a charm now. So many pictures! So many people!
And dude, that is one kickin' picture of Rockefeller Center. Awesome.
And there are no squirrels in Israel?? Wow. You should have taken some home. We have too many.
Hey, are we voting on the cities for the F2F today? Is there anything else we need to do? Pimp our cities some more?
I've gotten more replies back from hotels, and it looks like the $89-$99 range for double rooms is what we're going to get (some hotels offer the same rate for 1-4 people).
There continues to be a wide variety of activites possible, such as the Wiesman museum, the Willey house (a Frank Lloyd Wright design), more eating options than you can shake a stick at, the Saints (bush-league baseball, and one of the more entertaining shows ever), bicycle rentals downtown for our many trails, etc....
I am highly amused by the glowing Dead End sign.
