Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!
All systems are go for my very first F2F! Heading off to the train.....
GRONK.
DX, what time are you all heading out, tomorrow (or if you really went to bed, today)?
We're meeting at the Museum of Science at 9:30, where we will look at mathy and physicsy things. Plus hobbits. Then DUKWs, perhaps.
I see Lilty is on her way. Yay!
Now to shower.
Shower? What's that? I haven't gotten past the "I need coffee... Cooooofffeeeeeee" point yet.
ETA: I just made Lilty a sign for when I pick her up at the train. Hee!
Woo!
Okay, I'm out the door. See y'all soon.
vw! Lovely to see you, doll.
still terribly envious of all the Nilly-seers
I forgot to mention that when Nilly arrived at Logan Airport yesterday, she was greeted by Nora and me holding these signs.
Yes, I was thinking, that in all the Nilly-ness, that I overlooked mentioning what a real pleasure it was to meet, and to hang out with, Matt. He is a Sweetie Pie, Grade A, with a beautiful voice, and just very comfortable to be around.
He ended up crashing at our house, so I awoke to a house of Buffistas! It was lovely. Though, Tom and I were laughing, before we fell asleep, thinking how that would sound to non-online-community type of people. "Yeah, we've got two people sleeping in our house, neither of whom we met before today! Sleep tight!"
Everyone is out and about in Boston- and what a beautiful day it is here today, too. DX was running a little late due to craptacular traffic, so they took off about 9:45.
I am at work. Blah. That was tough.
Nilly breakfasted on a kosher everything bagel with cream cheese (which I remembered to put out with a new plastic knife!) and lox. So she's got quite a bit of protein to sustain her while touring...
Sad that Nilly is in Boston and I'm not hanging out with her!
I kept dorking out on her in very quiet moments. Like, I'd say, "Nilly?" She'd say, "yes?" and I'd say, "thank you for being here." It was just a wonderful gathering of people, so not only was it wonderful for Nilly to be here, but also for everyone to be together celebrating it.
And we all talked to ERIN! Whee! She sounds just like I thought she would.
Huh. My sign really SUCKED.
If you were holding it to welcome Nilly, that is un-possible, Allyson.
Allyson, Nilly specifically mentioned your sign last night, and that she'd saved it, and was thrilled to be bringing it home. She was nearly as excited about the sign as she was about dinner with Tim. I did not see your sign, but I don't think it could have sucked.
Jon B made us all buttons with the Nilly tour logo (did Deena dream up that logo?--so great). I have mine on my fireplace mantle, right now. I'm not sure where I'll put it, in the long run. I couldn't put it away last night.
