You know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I go get and beat you with until you understand who's in ruttin' command here.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

What a day - I can't believe I actually had to say good-bye to Nilly. The Nilly-Q was wonderful, I don't think any of us wanted it to end. I finally had to bid farewell as CJ had hit max and was a tired little boy. Hec was amazing playing catch for hours on end, not just with both young boys but with Steph too.

It was so marvelous to meet Deena and get the added bonus of her fantastic bath bombs. My car smelled so wonderful on the drive home. Deena is a DOLL.

I loved meeting everyone, I wish words could do justice to the foamy-ness of this group. I am honored to be able to hang out here.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I am posting from the basement of a hotel in an earthquake zone. This would make me concerned except for the fact that I adore that Hec ended his last post with, "So to sum up: pie, beer, KristinT." I am too amused to be concerned with silly little things like earthquakes.

I had a lovely evening with everyone--only wish I had gotten there earlier! Tonight, Deb took Nilly, Bev, Ginger, and I out for a nighttime driving tour of San Francisco. There are not enough wonderful adjectives to describe this city.

And Nilly! Did I mention how absolutely wonderful Nilly is? Nilly in person is better than Nilly online, which is saying quite a bit. I adore Nilly.

It was so great seeing everyone tonight--familiar faces and new ones.

Unfortunately, sold out flights and a slight change of travel plans means I am going to have to miss out on wine country tomorrow. I'm catching a 5:30 flight to LA, so I'm hoping to meet up with everyone for brunch before I go...? Beth B, I'm looking at you!

cereal to add...

Things I hate: not having reliable access to a computer and/or complete contact info for people other than via computer.

Makes travel planning difficult.

Just FYI: I sent an email out to San Francisco and LAistas who I'd talked to about seeing before I head back to CT. No worries if it doesn't work out. Call my cell phone to make plans--I'll have it on me.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Note to Nora: I am a yes, exactly that on your timetable. Have you thoughts on when we should arrive on Monday?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Re: Monday night, I think the time to arrive is between 7 and 7:30. Or later, if you like, but not earlier...

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I have now edited this post three freaking times. I must need more coffee!!!

There IS a daily 10:20 train out of town, so I CAN make it for Tuesday dinner. I swear I am reading the schedule right this time, so if there's still room for me at dinner, I'd love to go!

Ooh, yay!

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Just letting everyone back east know that, barring any snags or screwups on the part of SuperShuttle or American Airlines (there had better not be - I do have a crossbow and I know how to use it), Nilly will be heading out of SF tomorrow morning at 8 a.m., so all you Boston folks, get ready.

And please ping me if any additional info is needed.

We had a fabulous party. I had a lovely moment on the driving tour last night, when I took everyone down to Baker Beach/Fort Point to get some pictures of Nilly in front of the miraculously fog-free Golden Gate Bridge, and I turned her around to see the San Francisco skyline, glimmering in the distance, no more than some high cloud, and she momentarily lost her English, and got it back enough to whisper "it's SO BEAUTIFUL!", so I turned Ripper around with the headlights on and got a picture of her with the City behind. I hope her flash works...

Off to ring Kristin, and dry hair, and begin organising for wine country run and getting Teppy, Laura and Jess to SFO tonight.
