See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Deb, what time's the appointment in Laurel Village?

Not javachik

We had a rousingly fun book group meeting last night, followed by my giving someone a ride to her car shop (which is now open until midnight - !!) and battling the construction work on "my" bridge. I got home around 11:30 and crashed immediately. So I'm afraid Deena and Katie will be subjected to seeing my house in its usual messy state, as last night was my big window for house cleaning AND packing. We'll have to run by there anyway to throw some stuff in the car, then head out for the beach.

Grumble, grumble about working today at all, but I should just shut up and get cracking so I can get out of here early.

Oh! Dunno if anyone will have time/inclination to fit this in, but the Title 9 blow out sale is this weekend. It is *so* worth making a trip there. They make the best women's sports equipment clothing.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So, I'm here to report that Nilly isn't all that wee. I mean compared to Hil or Allyson, she's just not. Her feet are wee, however.

It was very fun hanging at Deb's house last night. Very loose and casual. Nilly gave us our wedding present. My favorite thing was when Nilly described her dinner with Tim and Allyson and Kristen (and Polgara?): "Everybody talked so fast! Tim would say something and Allyson would say something and Tim would say something. I learned that the best way to follow the conversation was to watch Kristen's face because she's so expressive and she knows Allyson so well that she could anticipate where the conversation was going."

What is even happening?

What's that? Is someone other than ND actually sharing information on a visit with Nilly?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Pictures, too. I took half a roll last night and will finish the other half today, drop 'em off at a one-hour place ASAP, and have something up in Ofoto by tomorrow morning. Not as fast as ND's insta-documentation, but good enough in a roughshot, homespun sort of old-timey way.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Pictures! Yay!

Conseula, are you coming to dinner on Friday?

Gah. I suck. Sparky, I'm afraid not. I need the exercise, especially if I'm going to Deb's on Saturday, so I'm gonna go to the gym instead. But many thanks for thinking of me.

Deb, if you're around, I'm planning a berry pie, probably blueberry. Do you already have ice cream on hand? If not, I'll pick it up. I just want to avoid a repeat of last year, where Hec and I went out to get ice cream that you already had in your freezer.

I'm very much looking forward to meeting/seeing everyone tomorrow!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hey! I posted about Nilly--only I think it was in Natter.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

This is horribly delayed, since I was on the road all day yesterday, but here are the highlights from Wednesday with Nilly:

We went to the Grauman's Chinese theatre. Nilly has the same size hands as Rita Hayworth.

We had some time to kill before lunch with Robin and Kat so we went into a costume rental place right across the street from where we were having lunch. Nilly had a great time looking around before lunch, and afterwards she and Kat and I went back so she could try on a big fancy dress, I think maybe Victorian or Edwardian, though I am bad with that stuff. She had a blast, and it was fun to watch.

Lunch with Robin and Kat and Nilly. Need I say more?

Krav with ita and Polgara. ita was wonderful with Nilly, and the class as a whole, and did not in any way hurt Nilly. It's funny how seeing someone do something they love is so different from hearing them talk about it, and I am glad I got a chance to with ita and krav.

Nilly (and I) also finished off all of the Wonderfalls eps before we left LA. She loves the show, so it was fun to watch them with her.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

She loves the show, so it was fun to watch them with her.

Is she gonna write a bunch of reviews?
