deb, I need to amend my flight info. I'm a dork and can't get it out of my head that I am NOT flying American. I'm flying United this time. So, you need to look for United flight 857 from Chicago at 12:16pm tomorrow. Sorry for the confusion.

F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!
No prob, sweetie. Noted.
I have prepped the chicken thighs and the beef ribs for Saturday's BBQ. They're in their own individual marinades, and will infuse until needed. Entire oven having been readied for blowtorching, I'm now doing the upper part (the stovetop), with all the pieces in the dishwasher for an ultrahot run. Curtains in the dryer.
Now for rest of carpets, dusting, hard floors, seeing about getting desserts together...
Timelies, and wow, exciting news, Nilly's really here! Yay! I'm back from camping (meteor showers rock, as do cold beautiful Sierra lakes), and from a successful cat rescue that culminated in placing it in a new, good home last night. Reports are that he is curled up on his new sofa, purring happily. (Yay!)
Deena, yes, funky beach house/camping Friday night, I'll pick you and Katie up at Deb's after work. That way, you can say hi to everyone and we can leave the City after dog-awful Friday rush hour (::knocks wood::). I'll drop off a case of Sierra Nevada pale ale for the BBQ and we'll be on our way. Hence, thanks for the invitation, Sparky (my heart lives in Berkeley, still), but regrets/no on East Bay Friday dinner. (Consuela, you'll be at BG tomorrow night? check email).
The Pacific Ocean and the Bay are kind of like a giant melting ice cube, and the farther away from icy water you are, the hotter it is. Hence, Napa-goers need to be prepared for hot hot hot.
I'm late to offer this, because it sounds like everything is booked minute to minute, but on Sunday, if anyone wants to see anything in Marin County - Muir Woods/old growth redwood forest, San Rafael Mission, oh, there's a ton of stuff - I'd be happy to pick you up at Deb's, escort you around, and deliver you back to Deb's.
Deb, I have a stack of 6 or 8 chairs; do you need any more?
Java, I think I'm OK for chairs - I have about two dozen, plus benches, and people to to perch on the cement steps.
Our timing on Friday is that I want to have bean soup simmering for Nilly and Friday night guests; I should leave downtown with Bev and Nicole in tow, to catch the 6:03 or whatever train to Redwood City. There, we'll meet up with Nic, get into the Camry, probably hit Celias for dinner (mmmmmm, carne molida enchiladas and Pancho Ninos to drink), and then all go down to feed the cats, after which I may suggest a stopoff at Flames for one of their indecent desserts, or I may not.
The rugs are as clean as they're getting today. I'm putting laundry in, dusting, mopping floors, and that's all for tonight. If I do much more, I'm going to stroke out, or something.
Teppy and Hec - insent.
Deb - what time are things happening on Saturday?
BBQ should start early afternoon-ish, say one or thereabouts.
Nilly's cell phone arrived at my house, today. I've no time for the bullshit incompetence that caused this issue. I'm getting my shit together for a wedding, have to pick up my new shoes on the way home from work, tomorrow, and just put dye in my hair.
They were supposed to deliver LAST Wednesday.
Allyson, that's nuts. Bunch of wankers.
There is not a lot of spare time in the universe at this precise moment. We don't need what little there is bunged up by incompetents.
Skipping to the end due to lack of time.
Deb, what time do you want people to start showing up on Saturday?
Echoing ND to say, Erin, please do not worry about this. We'll take care of it.
You take care of you, and enlist some helping hands whereever needed.
