An amp/mixer, microphone, two decent-sized speakers, and all the necessary cords/wires. The speakers should be big enough to handle the room. I haven't seen the room, so I can't say for sure how big. If you know of an equipment rental place in the area, you might just call them and ask what P.A. packages they have. As a point of comparison, the one in Chicago cost $100 for the day.

FTR, the group sales person is Ann McCafferty, at 202-434-0121, or you can call the 800 res #and be transferred. The A/V, food & bev, and hosp. suite set-up people will need to deal with her. I'll post if anything changes after I hear back from her from my v.m re the sound equip.
I was just realizing that my reservations don't overlap entirely with my roomie, DebetEsse. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? I'm a Fri. Sat. Sun. reservation, and still on the fence about where I'm staying on Thurs. - Theo, maybe you're still looking? DebetEsse is Fri. and Sat. only, I think. So I'm looking for a Sunday roomie.
