F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!
Jess, email her. I have one of Matt's cell numbers, but since he's going to be at a conference near New Zealand for the F2F (damn it), That won't do much good.
I've e-mailed Deena and Laura about the slight change in pickup plans at SFO this Friday. I think this bit is good to go.
All my, "I DO believe in Nilly! I DO believe in Nilly! I DO believe in Nilly"-ing has not gone for naught. Thank you!

Why does that seem porny?
Yes, the glorious Katie-Bee has informed me of the change, and is planning, I believe, to whisk Laura and me straight to your house after she picks us up. Though I could be confused about that part. I still haven't heard from Java cat about the beach house thing.
Deb, do you know how many people will be at the BBQ?

I think you may be looking for the word "rosy" there.

What's the URL for us non-LJ types?
I had a Nilly/Amazing Race dream the other night, wherein I stubbled upon Nilly having lunch with other Buffistas, and mentioned I'd see them all at Shabbat services the next morning (in my dream, someone was organizing services for the occasion, have I mentioned I work part time at a synagogue?), and whomever the organizing Buffista was (definitelty a she) expressely forbid me to attend, as her mother was going to give a talk via telephone (not allowed on Shabbat) about Egypt, as she's an Egyptologist, and this Buffista was afraid MY mother would steal the show if I came, as we'd just been to Egypt. I woke up very indignant!

Current headcount is between 25 and 30 people. I have three dining tables out there to seat (officially) about 14, masses of chairs, lots of wandering around, a chimnea and maybe today adding a firepit so we can stay outdoors once it gets dark and a bit chillier, and two barbecues: the big gas, which is for meat, and the big Weber kettle, which is for fish.
Also, an enormous kettle simmering on the side burner (my outdoor stockpot, I think) for falling-off-the-bone teriyaki chicken.
Costco today, Woot! Oh, and I think one of my desserts, to simplify things, is going to be a drunken fruit salad: summer fruits macerated in Baume de Venise or surrogate fortified dessert wine, with a shot of powdered sugar to sweeten the fruit liquor it makes.
