Oh phooey. I don't get home from my little West Coast Adventure until the night of the 24th. I find it incredibly ironic that I'm going to see Nilly in San Fran during my road trip with Cass and in NYC when I meet up with Trudy and company, and yet I again won't get to hang out with the Somervillians, who are really "my" Buffista tribe.
F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!
you, me, Ginger, Nilly and I think Jess.
And me!
And Sail!
Deb, what time do we need to head out for kitty feeding? Right after picking up Deena and Laura?
She arrives late afternoon on Mon. Aug. 23 and leaves for NYC the morning of Wed. Aug. 25, so the day to beg off is Tues. Aug. 24.
Lilty- Jon beat me to it. What Jon said. Will you still be able to hang out on Tuesday night? Or Monday night? Our spare bedroom is Nilly-ful, but we have a less glamorous but still very comfy couch if you don't want to do a round trip to Maine in one day.
Somervillistas, I will be poking at the list soonish to get some plans semi-set - probably early next week. So your assignment is to think about evening Nilly activities for Monday and Tuesday so I'm not the only one throwing out lame ideas next week like a bossy jerk. I'm not participating in the Tuesday daytime Nilly stuff so someone else should take the lead on that one...
Vague thoughts for Monday night:
party/gathering at either Nora/Tom's or Jon's home
Vague thoughts for Tuesday night:
a second gathering in whoever's home we didn't gather in the night before
An outing to a kosher Chinese restaurant in Brookline
OK, that's all I got so far, and reading about the SF-ers and LA-istas is making me feel, well, a little crap in the hostessing department. heh. Darn my bizarre competiveness, darn it to heck.

Don't feel too bad, Nora. Having never looked into it that closely before, I was amazed by the absolute lack of kosher restaurants in the Boston area (even in Brookline), at least according to my usual rest. sources (aka Zagat). Aside from Milk Street Cafe, the Chinese place and Rubin's in Brookline that's it. There's probably some more that fly under Zagat's radar, but I wouldn't know where to look for them other than by random Googling. Which should probably be the next step.

Don't sweat it -- Deb hostesses professionally pretty much. Nothing fancy is happening in LA.

Yeah, but you're going to Disneyland (or at least some of you are). I don't know who can really beat that.
I'm mostly joking. I think it's probably cool for Nilly ot have a little bit of chilling-out time after much flying and meeting people and general whirlwindery. Or, well, she can make up her own mind about that when she gets here. We could go dancing! To Manray! Where's Emily? Get out of the fetal position you went into when I said that!

Just walk down Harvard Ave. in Brookline.
