"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yay erika!

Deb, what's the calendar look like for Nilly's NorCal visit? She's asked me about taking some walks around the city and I'm trying to get a sense when she has open time in her schedule. You and I had talked about Sunday morning before the wine country trip. Nilly has mentioned Friday night and Saturday when she's keeping shabos or Sunday night. I know Saturday is the Nilly Q, but maybe something early in the morning? I'm getting the sense that her schedule is filling up very quickly.

These would be walks available for all to join, of course. Though we're talking about up and down San Francisco hills and seeing several neighborhoods.

Swouncing

erika, yay! I'm so very much looking forward to meeting you in face-space.

And, um, not really, on the sexual favors, Nilly and Nilly's Parents.

That was the first line that jumped at me from the screen. The combination of "sexual favors" and "Nilly's parents"? That's the stuff that COMM is made of.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Hec, I was thinking that Sunday morning might be the good time for the Mission tour? As long as I - and whoever else is driving, probably my mama in law, sf-marty - can pick people up in the Mission by no later than half past twelve Sunday afternoon, the morning would be good. I was hoping to show Nilly, and a couple of people who haven't been here before, SF by night, after the BBQ, by car. You know the tour: top of Twin Peaks, the house porn, Alamo Square, down the Embarcadero, Fisherman's Wharf...

I think that'll be fine - somebody could swing by and collect Nilly and any other pilgrims at 826 Valencia. Then off to wine country. Since Emmett will be coming along on the walk, and it's too far for him to go the whole way, JZ will probably have to escort him back after about half of it. If some folks were interested in doing part of the walk (which will cover the Haight, the Lower Haight, Duboce Park, Upper Market/Castro, and into The Mission) - JZ could help get them back towards respective home bases.

That'll be very pretty - I hope it's not foggy. So many good vistas.

What time will the BBQ start? You mentioned an early time like 10:30am or so? I'd like to have Nilly over to my apartment at some time. Maybe I could walk her through the park that morning and then back for the all day social?

Actually, BBQ should start late morning, early afternoon - let my poor husband sleep in a bit. I was thinking one-ish, going on until we stop.

So if Nilly wants to see the conservatory, a bit of the park, whatever? You and Jacqueline and Emmett might want to plan on coming over for bagels and kosher lox and coffee, and collecting Nilly and maybe Bev (staying with me) and Ginger (staying with Jeannie), if they'd like a local walk.

Always Anti-fascist!

Me too, Nilly. I'm all stoked and shit.(I may have a strange effect on your English, though.) If I've not already. Sorry for the momentary wiggins.

That'd be nice. For folks who are interested, the walk between Deb's place and mine is about 15 minutes - though a detour through the park would take longer. The park is relatively flat, and very pretty.

The Sunday walk would be more of a neighborhood tour, and would take a couple hours. A bit more strenuous then...uh, a walk in the park.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I have a favor to ask. I've been so out of the loop. Could someone email me Nilly's LA plans so I can figure out a good time to meet her? I was talking about her visit this weekend, and then I suddenly realized I had NO IDEA when I'd get to see her.

Heh. Just reminding those who aren't familiar with the City that the phrase "the hills of San Francisco" is understatement, not hyperbole.

JZ and I were talking about taking her up to Tank Hill. (This would be a bit more like a mountain trail hike then most folks associate with urban living.) View is spectacular up there though.
