Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

'Time Bomb'

F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I would just like to preen over the fact that I took the photo of Nutty and her neck. Also the one of Trudy & Dallas, and a few others.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The Dallas photo was a high-coo event indeed.

Full props to the man in the silver pleather.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Hanging with Deb and Teppy. Will there be stairwells? Am thinking about t-shirt.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Loved the picture of Trudy and Dallas. Looks like a great Rumpus, Kristen!.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

The Rumpus looks utterly wonderlicious.

Hmmm... since so many people can't afford or are actively repelled by Aimee Mann, possibly SF should just leave it to one of the other pop-music-history-filled stops on the Nillytour to give her the rock concert experience.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think I will pass on Aimee Mann too.

Deb and Sparky and Sean, insent shortly.

This portion cross posted with Natter: Monday the 16th is going to be wide open for LAista Nilly visiting, since she will be at my house but I will be at work at least some of the day. (I may be able to sneak out about 1:00 or 2:00.)

Also, this is not at all written in stone, but Nilly and I have been thinking of going to Disneyland on Tuesday (eta: based in large part on ND's and Aimee's earlier idea) and Wednesday going to Huntington Gardens.

If people are (still) interested in either, let me know.

Phoo. I've just been checking around and can't find a freeware version of the Firefly font - there are a couple of close-but-not-quite fonts, and there's one called "Nuptial" that appears to be exactly it and also costs $24. I'm leaning toward just trying to freehand a close approximation, or possibly going begging in Firefly and Minearverse to see if someone there already has it.

Not javachik

If ideas are still being sought for Nilly tour t's: Sparky1 and her DH had adorable tshirts for their relatives at their wedding: they were brightly colored tie-died shirts from Telegraph Ave. with a decal that said, roughly, "sparky1 and DH's wedding, on date, at place." Very Berkeley/SF/California, very nice all around. She might be persuaded to part with her trade secrets on getting them.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

JZ, I have many, many fonts. I'm drawing a blank on what the Firefly one looks like, but if you'll remind me I might have something I'd be happy to send.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

JZ, I have Nuptial plus another calligraphic font that may be closer. I've got to run out right now, but I can send them to you in a couple of hours.
