I'm just being the F2F 2005 pest and seeing how the research is coming in our four potential cities. We now have just under a month until we pick our city.

F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!
Got an e-mail from -t. She's heard from about 10, and one of us will put the info together. I'm going to look into transportation.
The big push for here should be happening next week, though I'll try to get some stuff done this week. This is why I sent out feelers beforehand, because my life is of the crazy right now. But my show opens Saturday, which gives me (some) breathing room.....
I'm in touch with the TourismToronto people and should have some useful info in the next week or so.
Excellent. Not trying to unduly pressure you folks, just looking for where everything is at. If there are things that the community can do to help/take some of the load, post it here and we'll find folks to pitch in.
On a side note, for the more impending F2F and Nilly's expressed desire to see a big rock concert, if possible? Just received this from my husband:
Hmmm. Bruce is apparently going to make an announcement of some sort, tomorrow. Keep an eye on his website and on backstreets.com; it may be tour info.
I'll be checking.
Fifth or sixing the more info about Kristin's shindig requesting!
In case this was never posted:
Contact people should contact the local visitors and convention bureau and get hooked up with one of their reps. That person will send out your IFB to all the hotels for you. This is a good thing.
Better yet, there's enough time for them to do that, then you get the responses, and THEN you can send it out to any hotels that didn't reply to the V&C Bureau that you specifically want to know about.
Oh, and right now in Boston, there's the Lord of the Rings costume & props exhibit (from New Zealand) which is its only NA appearance -- very beautiful, I saw it on Sunday. I can't remember if Nilly is a big LotR fan or not, but if she is, it would be really something for her to do, and probably a bunch of local Buffistas, too.
Ooh, I would be so up for that. Right now I've had to ask for a day off for my grandma's service, so I'll likely just be hoping that one of my days ends up being the right one, but there's a decent chance I'll be there!
Re the SF leg of the Nillytrip, and the possibility of taking her to a concert: I just scanned SF Weekly's listings for Thursday and Saturday nights (kinda figuring sunset Friday to sunset Saturday being out, but please correct me if I totally screwed that up), and there's not much in the way of big impressive stadium stuff, but... Aimee Mann is playing the Fillmore for around $30 a ticket: damn fine singer at a not-bad price in a venue absolutely drenched in music history.
