You know, it's funny. We went to war never looking to come back, but it's the real world I couldn't survive.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

move out and draw fire

I'm in for the Tabard Inn also, and for scratching at pool.

I bought a gothy formal yesterday. My DH says, "That's adorable, but where are you going to wear it? Prom?" Great idea! It may be a little forced for prom though, we'll see. I can at least wear it to the theater here.

I am also not really sure if anyone really wants to meet me, but after a year and a half hanging around here, I want to meet y'all.

After meeting you, I can attest that everyone will want to meet you, Ginger.

Somebody make me get started working on my taxes.

Thanks! I've conceded and am filing a form 4868, the procrastinators' friend.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I got my refund check from RI today.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

All I can say is that if people peek, I peek back.

Unless you are swinging from light fixtures, which as you tag says, really makes it fair game.

You mean like inviting people from England, Israel, or even worse, Kentucky that you have never met to come stay in your apartment, or maybe inviting people you've met once to come stay with you in a cabin on an island in a remote part of Maine?

Yeah…when I was in college, I bought a one-way ticket to Texas to meet an online friend and then drive all the way back across the country together to Connecticut. That was in 1994 when online meetings were a rather new thing. Luckily the gods loved me, and although the two of us wanted to kill each other by the end of that trip, we did end up becoming really good friends.

Comparatively speaking, sharing a hotel room really isn’t that big a deal. As long as a cross-country road trip isn't on the agenda, I'm doing way better than last time.

I am being very proud of myself for not succumbing to Only Child Syndrome and wanting my room to be just mine. : ) Kiba – just let me know if you decide you’d like to take me up on the offer. I won’t be offended either way.

Can’t wait to meet you all!

I may have to seize the cat.

KristinT, if I share the room I'll do my best not to succumb to Oldest Child Syndrome and try to take care of you and get you to do my bidding. (Yes, I do both, ask my sister.)

Transport and money are now the issues.

I had people from Tennessee and DC that I knew only from a music mailing list stay at my house several years ago, while they were in town to attend a concert in Atlanta. Later, the band who were the topic of the aforementioned mailing list stayed over for two nights when they had gigs in Athens and Atlanta. That was fun.

In my experience, only children and oldest children are much the same beast. I think we'll do just fine.

Transport and money are now the issues.

Can't help with the transport, but I've already paid for the hotel room. You would be my guest. Hopefully that will help with the money.

Yay! Hypothetical roommate!

Hahah! You've always wanted to sleep with women, yeah? :) Sure.

Woohoo! Dream come true! So meara and I will be sharing a room with RL and Reema for Saturday night.

I was able to travel through Australia due to the kindness of several Buffistas who'd never met me before. Then there was San Francisco... sigh. And I had Fay to show me around London for my brief layover there! Buffistas--it's the only way to travel.

There is the bonus that there's a readymade Buffista guide somewhere near most any destination in the USA and Canada, and many major cities abroad.
