Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

Astarte, I really wish you could have been there, too. House-ownership has to have its downsides, I guess, and I don't think I got to congratulate you on it yet, so congrats!

Thanks, Nilly. I keep looking for my too-well-packed digital camera so I can take some showoff pictures.

Yep, still deep in house rapture in Austin.

Deb, the description of that dinner makes me so hungry I can taste it. Major yum yum yum.

Nilly, as for the lengths many of us are willing to go to meet you, you're crossing an ocean or two, and several continents. It's the closest most of us will get to see you, and as Steph noted, Buffistas seek out Buffistas in all latitudes and longitudes.

You are just you. No superhero tights required on your adorably tiny nilly!feet. It is you we want to meet. Or, some of us, at least wave at as you're crossing the in-between states.

Believe me, you are your own reward, as the many Buffistas you'll get to meet are their own. (See, I can cover a wide range of jealousies. )

The long and short is this. There will be many fun experiences on this trip, but no matter what you do, it is that YOU and Buffistas-to-be-named-later are doing them in actual shared breathing space that will make the planets quiver with anticipation at the change in their course and the stars pale in jealous resentment.

(Too much, you think?)

Not javachik

You know that saying, if I had more time, it (my writing) would be shorter? The RFP is now an "Invitation for Bids" and it's shorter.

Heather and ND, insent - consider it a beta read of the IFB, okay? Going home now.

I'm getting the pig!

If Aurelia makes it, she will need a place to stay on Thursday, unless I go up on Thursday, in which case she won't.

Lee, let me know how it works out. Or Aurelia.

I get in on Thursday and my hotel roomie Deena doesn't get in until Friday. Her bed will be empty on Thurs. night.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Oh, man, this is all dovetailing nicely, isn't it?

I'll be sending out a group email about it, with what we've got happening so far, as well as reminder as to who's sent me their contact info so far.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That will be great, Nicole. It may be a while since she is not online much, but I will email her.

eta: thanks!

Sean, I'd love to host you, and any other Buffistas needing a bed, but plans are on hold for me right now. My daughter has a softball tournament that weekend - the first she would, possibly, have a chance to play in since she broke her hand. I had hoped to be able to meet folks before we left town Saturday morning, but now the family wants to go to the tournament Friday afternoon because the State Fair opens that day and our hotel is closeby. PLUS it looks like that Friday will be my day at UCSF med center getting my kidney checked.

This is one of those times where the family just does not understand about my internet friends.

I still have room for people to crash, if Jessica is willing to give up the little bit of privacy she has in my living room. I'd certainly understand if she wanted to screen for people who snored... hee!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'd certainly understand if she wanted to screen for people who snored... hee!

Heh -- I talk in my sleep, so I don't think I can be too picky.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Oh lexine, does that mean I don't get to meet you at all this trip? Darn it.

Deena, when do you come in?

Part of me is hoping I can stop by and see people when I am done at UCSF. Now they are saying it should just be part of the morning instead of most of the day.

I wish folks were getting in early on Thursday so I could try to meet foamy Buffistas then. This is so frustrating. I am trying to break out of my hermit shell and MEET other Buffistas.
