'Sleeper'
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Wow, Heather, that sounds amazing.
See, to me, those two posts are just lists of stuff. The best part is just being there. You really have to see this stuff in person. You have to walk down the grooved steps at Lafitte's, you have to eat a muffy, you have to see the people and taste the food. You have to be able to hear the 4 or 5 different kinds of music within a block.
It is a really incredible place that would be all that more incredible shared with Buffistas.
I've heard good things about the Maison St. Charles.
Finally got my F2F pictures downloaded from my camera. Turns out it just needed a new battery. They're nothing special, but I thought I'd share them anyway. Here they are.
Oooh, don't forget the Court of Two Sisters, where the food is at least as good as K-Paul's and they have a jazz brunch on the courtyard patio.
Ooh, I've eaten there. Yum-my.
And The Gumbo Shop.
NILLY - I've spoken to several DCistas, and many of us are willing to chip in for a train ticket to Washington from New York (I haven't even heard from everybody!).
I've checked Amtrak, and the student fare (you are a student, yes?) is about $125 ($148 for non student), and I already have that much in "pledges". If you would like to come to DC, your travel and accommodation can be covered, you've been offered several couches, and even an actual room!!
Commander’s Palace Incredible place for lunch, but dinner can get pricy. You will never have better service ever.
Unless you walk in with two people with heavy Worchester accents, one woman with a heavy New York accent wearing a prominent star of David, and a very tall black man with a heavy New York accent, the last two being very obviously a couple.
Then you have trouble getting seated, even though you made a reservation two weeks before.
