(though admittedly one of the blocks is straight up a hill).
You're in San Francisco. It's a given.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

PC, believe it or not? The immediate area around Chez Grabien -about four blocks west and north, about three blocks south - is flat.
Wow. You got lucky.
Unless you take a wrong turn like I did and end up walking up this really steep hill. I totally screwed up the directions.
Thanks Deb! Already emailed them to check availibility.
Yeah, we're not known for the flat.
Hee! Askye went out of her way to walk up McAllister Street. One block over in any direction and she'd have been on flat ground.
But really, sweetie, that's barely a hill by SF standards.
Oh I know, it just seemed really steep at the time.
I think you were also frazzled by having got lost - that always makes things seem like obstacles to me.
So, from the SF end - who's shooting for the SF leg of Nilly's visit? We'll need to make sure everyone has the means to get here (this will be so much easier if Nic's working, so fingers crossed for this), and that everyone has a bed for the weekend.
If I can get a decent airfare, mememememememe!!! If not, I'm willing to go East to see Nilly. Will scout airfares.
If I come to SF, I'll probably stay at the Carl, just to make things easy.
