When do we start voting on the cities?
'Why We Fight'
F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!
I'll look into setting up the polling in the next week to 10 days. The schedule has us narrowing things down in July 15.
I'll be out of town until Monday- not that I think you should schedule things around me, but uhm could you wait until after then...maybe, please.
I'd like to make a final pitch after I've gotten back and have better info.
We've got plenty of time. I'm not planning on a decision before July 15th.
That's cool, I just don't want it to be like- ok we need info from NO, where is Heather, oh my god what a flake.
Not that anyone would. I'm just over sensitive this week.
I contacted the Cleveland Visitor's and Convention Bureau to see what help they could give us on average prices, things to do, stuff like that, and they said they'd have some pretty solid hotel pricing for me by next Friday.
And KC is full of museums and cool touristy stuff to do (Negro Baseball League Hall of Fame, Jazz Museum at 18th and Vine, Science Museum at restored Union Station, Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, and a fantastic zoo and hey - more fountains than Rome - seriously). It's also pretty cheap food and hotel wise here.IIRC, Kansas City has the more fountains than any other city in the world. Also, when mentioning the Nelson, one cannot forget to tell people that it has ten-foot shuttlecocks on the lawn. Seriously. Here I'm acting like I've been to the Nelson more than once in my life.
The Arabia Steamboat Museum in KC is pretty amazing.

That will be good information to have. Don't go too overboard on getting all kinds of pricing on cities. We'll get our four top choices nailed down and then send out all the information to those cities with our RFP and get bids back. Ballpark prices are good at this point.
Jumping in towards the end, so the discussion right now is based around the following cities?
Austin
New Orleans
Nashville
Lawrence
KC
Minneapolis
Toronto
Cleveland
Is this correct?
