Somebody remind me to do some KC pimpin' when I have more time.
F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!
Hee, I've had a blast every time I've been to KC. I think it would make an awesome F2F site. I also had an awesome time in Minneapolis when I was there for a convention.

The Local! Bar Abilene! Tequila!
Seriously, I was a little apprehensive (meeting new people! AAiiigh!), and I regret it. I should have been there as soon as you touched down.
I was apprehensive too. Hadn't met a Buffista yet at that point. Should have been dragging you along with my crazy sound design buddies all week. We ended up in, I think Sex World at one point (the three story tall sex store?).
t pokes head back into thread
t sees that contentiousness has turned into sex shop talk
t feels that all is well in the world
Also, Gus! Woot! I'm excited to meet you. I think, though, that as one of the shortest Buffistas, I may need to bring a step stool or small ladder with me so we can actually have a conversation.
I have already blocked off that weekend in my date book.

Me too. And have been looking at flights, but many of the travels services aren't booking that far ahead yet.
Just want to add to Debet's very helpful post: DebetEsse "F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?" Jun 11, 2004 3:15:48 pm PDT
that Toronto is also in the running. JS, are you going to submit a proposal as the point person, or did I miss it?
Kristin, if more cities are added, I'll go back and edit, so the bookmark can stand.
Sure Kristin, here's a few points to ponder about Toronto:
Point Person: JohnSweden (live and work right downtown, book conferences for work)
Likely Hotel Rates: $70 -170
Pros:
Open, cosmopolitan, safe, clean multicultural city.
30% Discount. US Dollars will exchange at a 30-45% premium anywhere in the city.
Excellent public transportation. Toronto Transit Commission
Weather in high 60's, low 70's with little humidity in late May. (Some like it cool.)
Drivable from MI, upstate NY, OH, IL, IN, Western PA. Bit of a hike driving from NYC, Chicago, Boston, Philly, St. Louis (12 hours).
Wide variety of quality restaurants and food at all price ranges.
World-class theatre scene, currently running plays like The Producers, Pygmalion, Urinetown, Fiddler on the Roof, Guys and Dolls, Hairspray.
Great shopping, all within easy walking.
Some attractions:
Huh. Bargoon. CityPass
Cons:
Flights from west coast will likely be expensive.
Actual foreign country. Passports required for ID when flying and advised for driving. Refugee claimant application forms will be available in the hospitality suite.

That would be the one. With peep shows on the first level.
Mmmmm, Toronto.
