It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

And Texas is a honking big state.

Edit: what Sean said. ND is beautifully on top of it.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Mooommm, Sean is trying to steal all of our panic fun.

I'm getting the pig!

My top two choices are Cleveland and Minneapolis.

Denver would be tough for me because I suffer horribly for about 3 days when I hit altitude. Stupid aclimation to sea level.

I gathered a modicum of information on Denver but didn't post it for exactly the reason Laura mentioned. The possibility of a good number of 'fistas getting altitude sickness would not a fun F2F make. (Besides, who wants an F2F without Laura-n-Brendon?)

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

Just to give you an idea, El Paso? About an 8-10 hour drive from Austin. I think El Paso qualifies as West. It's about midway between me and my folks home in Tucson.

Big HONKIN' state.

Which means my happiness that Deb will be in Texas next March is very tempered. *sigh*

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Ah, but I'm already in Texas, and only a 3 hour drive from you. One of these days Imma have to get back down there. I was thinking this weekend to see sis's thing, but I'm in Shreveport on Sunday and NO on Wednesday, and driving down to Austin tomorrow doesn't sound doable.

Our wings are not tired

Okay, a few items. Now we're getting into a bit of the crazy making stuff. Yes. I expect that people will advocate certain cities. I don't want to set the RFP out until we narrow it down to our top 4 cities, so here's what we should be looking at:

1. City
2. Local Point Person for City
3. Possible hotels in City
4. Possible hotel rates in City
5. Pros and Cons for City

Also, if you are advocating a city, please be good and list both Pros and Cons. I know that we all have favorites, and the fact is I could make Fresno look like a good choice on paper, so let's be nice and upfront about things and list the good points and the bad points.

Let's not worry about tabulating votes until July 1. Discuss, listen, be swayed, change your minds. Don't worry about voting yet.

Thank you for stepping up to tabulate votes Fred Pete!
