May 21st weekend dandy with me.
Java Cat, just wanted to let you know that the closeup of Meara and my dresses is my desktop at home now. I love that picture.

I think so, Anne. If we can get there easily, the important thing is whether we can have a great F2F. And there are plenty of ways to have a great F2F.

Perzacktly. I do think that it would be nice, one of these days, to have an F2F at more of a self-contained resorty place where the emphasis would be on hanging out and there would be plenty of on-site stuff for people to do.
High on my list is a good facility. Easy to get to is first to get a nice turnout, but having a comfy place to hang out when not going on field trips is important.
Very much so, Laura. I'd love to have a Hospitality Suite that was actually a nice place to hang out and slounge.

Does Club Med do group rates?
Deeply allergic to resorty places over here, but that's a different strokes thing, I guess.
I've had some marvellous times in resorts, but Club Med does raise a rash.
Personally, I'd prefer a resort that didn't have the sort of YOU WILL HAVE FUN OR DIE TRYING vibe that the big resort chains seem to have. Something small and more lodge-like could be fun. I would like to have a good array of comfy furniture, beverages and snacks readily available, and some interesting walks and outdoor activities in the area.
I had a great time at the Pelican resort in Coff's Harbour. The place was overrun with eastern water dragons. So cool. (Plus, soldier crabs on the beach.)
Um. Probably not a viable location for the F2F.
