I am insanely erratic at both pool and darts (I specialize in 95% suckage, including sinking the 8-ball with my first shot and missing the dartboard altogether, and 5% flukey, accidentally brilliant shots and throws that make the actual experts weep and gnash their teeth with envy) but I would happily offer my mostly-suckage up for general Buffista mockery (though since we're only coming in Saturday afternoon I guess it'd only be possible during the prom, if, say, Teppy needed a break from the roomful of people or something).
And I realize that I am sadly lacking in Goth, but I would love to wear something decadent and drink a glass of proper absinthe with Matt.
I hate and suck at pool, but I will happily drink and throw darts. Will also drink absinthe.
Or just *acting* like they're playing pool....
The way Brendon whipped my butt, I will have to say I was acting, he wasn't...
is it more convenient to fly into Dulles, or National?
National.
Isn't that the one where you can't get out of your seat 30 minutes after takeoff and before landing?
Anyway, whatever's most convenient to the people who are making airport runs is what I want to book. So -- National?
Even BWI is generally easier to deal with than Dulles, IME. But I think FredPete is out that way, so maybe not.
If there is a place that has a few pool tables and some dart boards, that would be awesome. I love throwing darts!
The Hawk & Dove is nearby, and has pool tables. Also, I seem to remember a tiki bar on that same block, which could be fun.
From National, you can take the subway within a couple of blocks of the hotel. Subway has a station within the airport.

Yes, but this really isn't as big a deal as some people have made it sound. Seriously, I would never have noticed that it was longer than the standard "seatbelts on" phase without being told.

Yup, because it's just across the river from the city. That's why it's convenient.
