I for one don't want some of our wonderful Buffista friends armed with a sharp dart after they've had a dozen or so drinks.
This is what I meant.
I grew up using the real darts, on a real board, since my parents had one, and the others feel wrong, but not as wrong as turning someone into a Xander.
There was a pool table in the hotel bar at the first F2F. That's all I've got, so I'm going the stand with Sean in the real darts corner. (Not that I play, it's just the principle.)
t Throws real darts into the corner
If you'd get some sleep once in a while, you probably wouldn't make mistakes like that.
t Bats darts back at ND with a pool cue...
I haven't played pool in years, and I wasn't any good then either, but I'd love to join a Buffista table.
Of those sticking around for Sunday night, would any of you be interested in dining in the Tabard's garden patio (here's a look at a sample dinner menu)and then heading upstairs for drinks, conversation, and whatnot?
Sounds lovely. I’m in, regardless
Well - does anyone play pool? 9-ball to be specific, but really, any form of pool? And if yes, is there a pool parlour anywhere nearby for an outing? Because damn, do I miss 9-ball.
There are a few pool places in town. There’s a Scottish pub near the hotel that has a pool table. And darts, for those who like that sort of thing :)
I'll be on the hunt for a glass of single malt older that me, but I don't think I could afford to buy an entire round of that. I'd happily do a round of 14 year Oban or similar though.
Scottish. Bar.
I love pool, even though I can really suck at it. It's weird, though -- other times, I am en fuego. It's Random Pool Skill.
Also like darts, at which I also suck.
And then there'll be the requisite fencing....
Me + hand-eye coordination: funny for everyone else. I have no skills, at anything. Though I don't mind being the person who holds the beer and talks to the people not currently playing/shooting.
Heh. I didn't even notice the numberslut. Woo.
ONE HUNDRED AND EIGGGGHHHHHHTTTYYYYY!
Heh. I don't really play darts, I just love the scorekeeping in the pro game. And the pinting. No pool skills either.
Speaking of single malts, has anyone tried the 15 year old Glenfiddich Cuban Reserve, the one aged in rum casks instead of sherry casks? I gather it is all controversial and stuff.
