Vortex, thank you so much for the offer. It's nice to know there are localistas for venting to, as well as drinking with.
For the record, it doesn’t have to be just coffee.
That way people get it Wednesday, Thursday latest, and it doesn't moulder and go stale in a post office over the weekend
And is perfect with Saturday cartoons and hot coffee. That is, if you can manage to not eat it before then. Which I sometimes don’t manage.
DXM, I got the medals yesterday.
Must to distribute them now.
I, for one, would love to get together with localistas.
P-C, you can kvetch all you want, but the fact is, buffistas
flee
Michigan, not
move there.
muHAH! amych nailed it - just ask ita. And - bon bon did too, right?
They Buffistas tend to move to the coasts. We've gained many out here in CA.
So far we've had 122 folks take poll on dates. May 21-22 is leading with June 4-5 in second place. We've had no real discussion on the dates so far. I'm thinking that May 21-22 is looking like a good bet for F2F 2004. Thoughts from folks?

I have permission? Sweet.

It's been a winner so far. Let's go with it.
Also, I think Hil + JZ persuaded me that New Orleans wouldn't be the Swampy Morass of Humid Hideousness that I thought it would be. Austin just showed up in Newsweek as one the the 10 most wired cities in the US (San Diego is #1. Let's do San Diego sometime. Wreck diving! Zoo!). I'm trying to keep Heather in mind.
I heard from the hotel manager today. Here are the stats on rooms booked:
Here's the breakdown of room nights picked up:
Friday: 19 rooms (12 blocked)
Saturday: 23 rooms (15 blocked)
Sunday: 7 rooms (5 blocked)
Don't know how many people shared since they called in to make reservations. You'll have to consult your group to get those details. Lisa will give you the actuals regarding the cash bar.
Thanks again for letting us host the 2004 Buffistas F2F - have a great week!
Still waiting to hear from the beverage mgr. about consumption. I'm sorry that the bartender & alcohol wasn't very good. I called for more Heineken and something else imported when I realized there was only Bud and some other light American swill.
There was an elevator to the hosp. suite, so, also very, very sorry that I didn't know it was needed. All it would've taken is a phone call from the black phone near the ice machine/door downstairs to get access to/from it.
