Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

You'll love this: the word is "toque", from the French, natch

Ha! I knew there was something about the spelling. I used to know the correct way too, hailing from Michigan originally, but the Los Angeles sun does something to the memory I think.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The timing actually works out better for me to go see Nilly in California, but the money things seems to be making NYC look like the more logical choice. But still, even if I'll just be able to spare one day, Nilly's going to be here! Yay! Nilly, I'm getting so excited for you now.

Well, someone isn't paying attention. (though no Juiliana certainly is poutworthy.)

Oooh! How cool would it be to get Hil in Cali? Very.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

See, I'm going to be between leases August 20 to September 1, and I thought one solution would be to store my stuff somewhere and take a little vacation, except I'm already going on a cruise with my family earlier in August, and it probably wouldn't be nice to take two big chunks of time off from lab so close to each other. That would be around NYC-time, right? Could work, in an ideal world.

I can't even.

I got there first. Might happen later in the year. Next year, with a whole new slate of vacation and budget? For sure.

Yeah, it erases totally irrelevant information, like what to call hats that you only wear when it is freezing out.

Thrive to spite them

I'm definitly going to see if I can get the money together for some leg of Nilly's trip. It would probably just be the East Coast leg but I'm going to see what I can do.

The way my schedule works out, the closer it gets to August 21, the less able I am to do anything. August 21 to 26 or 27, I can go nowhere. From the 26th or 27th until September 1, I'm pretty much free to do whatever. So, just need to figure out when Nilly's going to be around.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Nilly, I'd been wondering if - assuming the weekend option for the 6-hour drive up from LA to SF is weekend-limited - whether it might not be the way to go to beg ND to sneak away from responsibilities early enough to ensure that you take off and get here well before sunset on Friday. That would fulfill the "no travelling on the Sabbath" rule, wouldn't it? And Saturday would be BBQ at my place, and after sundown - Sabbath over! - we'd take you for the nighttime tour of my ridiculously scenic city.
