I've got two words that are going to make all the pain go away. Miniature Golf.

Mayor ,'Lies My Parents Told Me'

F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Both Teppy and smonster are fabulous kissers. ijs.

Edit: Not to say that the other folks I smooched were slouches in that dept. I just don't know quite how discreet we're all being here...

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Since everyone else is mentioning their lj names, I will mention that I am fiorituranotte, if anyone wants to friend me.

Must. Plan. Trip. To. Greece.

Yes you must.

I didn't get to wear the bunny ears, but at least I got panda paws.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I will mention that I am fiorituranotte

Thank you for saying that! I knew that was a Buffista name, and you probably even identified yourself in an LJ post, or in a Bitch post, but I could not remember, and I felt like a dope!

I figured you knew who I was based on the couple of drabbles I posted.

Yeah! That's where you identified your LJ name! Sheesh -- like I said above, my memory is sucking right now -- sorry!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Ok, I'm feeling the need to take another stab at lj again. I've friended the folks who mentioned their names in this thread, that I hadn't already friended. We'll see how this goes. (My lj name is the same as my board name, btw.)

Brenda, aren't you brendalu on LJ?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I anticipate this being a monster post, so please bear with me.

After a lovely, if very long and I-was-exhausted-when-we-started drive home with DX. The already very large degree of "can we all just move into the hotel?" that I have had since this morning in increasing.

I love having everybody's meat-space-ness in my head now, rather than just words in a box. I'm glad that other people are having the same feelings. I am, though, sitting here on the couch mentally curling up into a little ball from all the nice things people are saying. You guys are very good on the ego (the hat, btw, is so full of itself that there will be no living with it). I do want badly to meet Plei now, though.

Let me say outright, that the Buffistas are foamy, and nice (except when they shouldn't be because everybody nice all the time would be like Stepford. I mean, in general), and my single favorite group of people on the planet.

Other people have hit most of the highlights, so I'll just add what I don't remember seeing talked about:

  • If no one else has done it, I move that Billytea(William! [meatspace names? Also wicked cool]) post his zoo photos when he gets them developed.
  • Absinthe? Good stuff, if taken slowly.
  • The GropeMobile outing on Sunday night was great on many levels. Kristin, aparet from being a wonderful human being, is also very graceful, and Buffistas are great people to see monuments with, especially if there aren't other people around, so we can openly discuss abducting members of the Executive Branch and taking them to the FDR memorial. Oh, and the t-shirt is here.
  • JSw, I didn't manage to get ahold of your book this morning, and I would really like to write something in it. You want me to send leaf or, if you'd send it to me, I promise to write something other than "have a great summer" and send it back promptly)

Seriously, though, how soon can we do this again?

3 other things:

Drew--I was looking at the photos, and you spelled my name the way sane people do (which is understandable). I spell it "Abi". And, hugs.

I am officially volunteering to update the facebook. Maybe using F2F photos as a starting point, if that's alright with people.

On scheduling next year, moving it earlier may be a problem for teachers, as well as students.

And so, I will revert to my normal (both on- and off-board) position of sitting here listening, and nodding vigorously. I will hopefully do so more vocally, now that I feel like I know people better.

Buffistas rock. It bears repeating.
