It turned out very well, considering it was a "Let's point the camera at ourselves" shot.
You know, when you were taking that one, I could see the LCD screen on your camera from where I was sitting, and I meant to mention to you at the time how impressed I was with the framing!
smonster, I think Ofoto is just persnickety sometimes, for some people.
Hmmph. Maybe I'll try photobucket when I get home.
how impressed I was with the framing!
Got lucky, I guess.
Okay, I'm off to do some work before I have to ask a Stompy to deactivate my account again.
grumble grumble
I can't see them , which is stupid because I am signed into ofoto. What I did to combat the problem. send an evite to see them to a few people then I took that link and used that here.
so send me an evite to see your pictures!
I can't get ofoto OR yahoo and it's embittering me.
::pouts::
I miss you all madly, btw. I was fighting tears in the cab as I left.
Okay, trying beth's suggestion (i emailed them to your profile addy, btw)
eta: whoops! forgot to uncheck the sign-in requirement. hang on a sec.
again edit: try this.
once more w/ feeling
smonster, in your photo number 28, the question mark person is ND, not JS.
Ta-da! There you go. Let's have a looksee now, yay!
My house is now Buffistaless, and I am sad. Beverly, askye, and Kate P. were faboo houseguests, and I was delighted to be able to get to know them better.
So is Jeeves.* He is sulking upstairs, wondering where Beverly has gone. Speaking of Jeeves, I'm not sure if I should be amused or appalled that the first F2F picture posted is a picture of my cat sticking his nose up ND's kilt.
The leather kilt, btw, is scrumptious.
I'm still processing the weekend, but it was such a wonderful time. It was great to be able to put not just faces, but voices, gestures, mannerisms, and movement with all the different names. If I leave someone or something out in this post, please don't be offended.
The cookout was a blast, and Raquel was a huge help in getting things set up. MM, Aimee, and Sean K stayed over the first night, so I got to bogart their company, which pleased me greatly.
The Zoo trip on Saturday was absolutely wonderful, especially since billytea was there. I'm still all giddy about the fact that I got to go to the zoo with billytea. I also got to spend good time with Trudy, Sheryl, askye, Theodosia, JavaCat, Debetesse, MM, and Aimee. So. Much. Fun.
On the way to the Great Apes exhibit, we experienced the "distracted by shiny objects" phenomenon so typical of Buffistas, and decided we
had
to visit the invertebrate exhibit. Very, very cool, with lots of displays of corals, anenomes, various crutaceans, etc. The chambered nautilus display was fascinating. I loved watching them scoot around the tank like little submarines. We even got to see them being fed, which was cool beyond cool. It was amusing to see a hand reaching down into the water, grabbing a nautilus (which would flail its tentacles in a rather startled fashion), then shoving a piece of shrimp in the critter's mouth. The nautilus would then be marked with a number to indicate that it had been fed.
We did not see any gibbons swinging across their tightrope, which was something of a disappointment.
More later.
* Jeeves has expressed interest in becoming Clovis's East Coast regent should need for one arise.
Ah, yes, thank you. Fixed now.
vortex looks like she has the most scandel in her pictures so far...
I try.
smonster's pictures, with captions!
I really like the offcenter ones, they give such a sense of movement
It didn't work. Try not linking to the "Browse Photos" page with all the thumbnails, but the opening to the gallery. Note the way Vortex linked; hers worked.
If that doesn’t work, you can share the photos with yourself, and then copy and paste the link
