My prom dress arrived yesterday. I am very very happy about that.
F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!
Tonight I pack. My packing list is so dull compared to all y'all's it seems. Aside from the two dresses I have for the prom, it's gonna be t-shirts and jeans. I own no feather boas, no tiaras, no leather pants and the only corset I have is Elizabethan, and not much with the cleavage-making. Ah, well. I guess I blend into the background, like usual.
I woke up this morning to find a phone list in my inbox. I had no idea how much work went into this endeavor.
Sheryl, my suitcase contains one black jersey, lycra and mesh prom dress and black high heels. The rest is trousers and little tank tops.
I'm not going straight home after DC; up to NY with Jessica, for four days. Also? Hot and humid, worst kind of weather for me. So the packing is light and uncomplicated.
Deb - if I bring my copy of your book to the F2F would you sign it for me?
Cass, you don't need to bring me the Origins tape. I found another source. Thank you muchly for making it though!scratches "Origins tape for Lee" off of list
The list is still too long. Can I not do something else?
I have not begun to pack. I did however just finish arranging housing for my children. This involved coordinating with 4 moms and 1 grandmom. Thankfully they were all able to take my offspring for a chunk of the time. So now I have to pack for 4 of us. (Well, really 3 because DH pretty much does his own packing)
First I am going shopping for a dress, again. Wish me luck. I get head explody when I approach the mall. One of my GF's suggested a couple non-mall places to check first.
So far, my packing has consisted of trying on all of my possible Prom clothes, and then stuffing them in a duffel bag to get them off the bed.
I'm in the hotel! Hurrah me!
Strangely enough, though they provide Internet connections, they don't include actual cables -- those you have to buy in the gift shop if you didn't bring your own.
There are about ten thousand free cables I could have brought along from work. Feh.
Is anybody around at the hotel or nearby. After I get a little bit less travel-frazzled I want to go exploring... and oh yeah, work on the part of the trip where I figure out how I get to Anne's without a car.

Ooh, thanks for the warning. I'm off to the airport in an hour or so.
