This, my love, is not a plus.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!
This, my love, is not a plus.

Oh, sure! We can kill both of you, if it will soothe your parents' concerns.
See, this is why Sean makes such a good indentured Sherpa. He's very accomodating, he is.
Just make sure you pack the axe in your checked luggage and call it "sports equipment" if anyone asks.
Holli, do you want to be "Holli" on your nametag? And how about your friend's name, for his/her/its nametag?
I will grudgingly leave my leather at home
Dude, the pants are HOTT, but they'd also be hot. And heatstroke really cuts into the time allotted for merriment.
This, my love, is not a plus.

Thirded. I'm thrilled to be meeting peeps, but sorrowful at the thought of all those I won't see at this occasion.
I've had extensive background checks.
As have I, and amazingly they still hired me!
Also, I'll be wearing leather, heat be damned!
Yup, just Holli on the nametag. And my friend's name is Shira. She watched Buffy and has long tolerated my incedible geekiness, and she has almost as dirty a mind as I do. So she'll fit right in.
I don't really care that my parents are still freaked; they're letting me go, after all.
I'm hoping the hotel will be air-conditioned enough to allow for leather pants at the Prom.
Even in air-conditioning, if the outdoor temp is over, say, 50 degrees, my internal thermometer ratchets up and I can't wear leather/pleather/PVC. Sleeveless dresses for me! (Though I really need a tan. I am so white, I reflect sunlight.)
I've had extensive background checks.
Me three. (Or four or five, as the case may be.)
