It's not like she blew me off. She just left with another guy, that's all.

F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Wanna meet the pretty peeples, not their clothes.

My socks are pouting and threatening to stay home.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

This comes up every year, huh?

The logic of the dressing up is so evident at the F2Fs, but maybe it isn't so obvious without the carnivalesque atmosphere of an F2F actually happening. People do it because it's fun. Because it's a bit of role-playing. Because everybody looks foamy when they're tarted up. Because you can wear things you can't wear anywhere else.

If you don't want to dress up it isn't an issue. It's fine. The dressing up is an opportunity to play. There's a certain giddy vibe at an F2F which seems to promote this kind of activity.

If you're not used to getting glammed up - there are innumerable volunteers willing to help with makeup and clothes. This is also fun.

It's fun - it's not stressful. Don't Stress About It!

Well, I wasn't, but now all the exclamation marks have scared me.

Pfft. I saw you all dressed up on Halloween, lurking under trees with Teppy and Juliana, sneaking smokes.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Okay, all this talk of dressing up has made me feel like being vain ('cause I know I'm not going to drag this dress out again, and it was such a fun foamy frock)...

here #25, 26, & 27

I should add a disclaimer here--these pics are almost four years old. I was 25 at the time, and though I don't think I look too different, they also aren't current. Just sayin'.

Woo! Gorgeous Kristin and handsome husband. You and your dress are lovely.

I have no idea what I'll be wearing, but I usually clean up fine, so I'll not worry. I hope I find something I'm excited about wearing, because ... fun. In any case, I will be clothed. And excited to meet everyone.

ETA: so excited, I forgot to close the i tag ...

Beautiful pictures, Kristin!

And I'd do it again. Only, hopefully without the followup.

You sip / say it's your crazy / straw say it's you're crazy / as you bicycle your soul / with beauty in your basket

I just want to note that I keep seeing "uncostumed Teppy" and thinking "naked Teppy".

And now I will stop joking about compromising Steph's virtue, because I am sure it is tedious to people not-me and maybe irritating to Steph. But hee.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Well carp. I can't seem to see Kristin's pictures.
